Ukrainian «Aidar» Battalion Repelled During Border Clash in Kursk Region

Ukrainian assault troops from the «Aidar» battalion attempted a border breach near Tyotkino in Russia’s Kursk region but were forced to retreat after taking losses.
A Ukrainian assault team from the «Aidar»* battalion reportedly attempted to cross into Russia’s Kursk region near the village of Tyotkino, according to the Severny Veter (Northern Wind) Telegram channel, which is affiliated with Russian military sources.
The channel reported that the attempt was repelled after the group came under heavy fire. As a result, Ukrainian forces sustained losses and were forced to retreat to their original positions. No further details about the engagement were provided.
This border incident follows another reported attack a day earlier, on August 20, when Ukrainian forces allegedly used U.S.-made F-16 fighter jets to drop precision-guided bombs in the same Tyotkino area, which lies near the Russia-Ukraine border.
