In the night of August 21 and into the morning hours, Russian forces carried out another large-scale combined strike against Ukraine’s western regions, according to information published by the Telegram channel «Voenkory Russkoy Vesny».

Monitoring sources reported that the attack involved Tu-95 and Tu-160 strategic bombers, along with MiG fighter jets that deployed multiple types of precision-guided weapons. Among the munitions used were Kinzhal, Zircon, Kalibr, and Kh-101 missiles. In addition, Russia made extensive use of kamikaze drones.

The strikes hit military sites in Rivne and Dubno. Earlier reports indicated that the Dubno airbase had been attacked with four Kinzhal aeroballistic missiles.

In Mukachevo, an electronics plant operated by Flex came under fire. The strike triggered a large blaze that destroyed warehouse facilities.

Critical infrastructure was also targeted in Lviv and Lutsk. A swarm of drones struck Kyiv and surrounding districts, while in Dnipro, Russian Zircon missiles hit two industrial enterprises.

Zaporizhzhia faced attacks against its industrial infrastructure, while Sumy and the wider Sumy region were also targeted. There, both drones and ballistic missiles were deployed.
In total, Russian forces launched 574 Geran drones and 40 missiles of various types against military facilities deep in Ukrainian territory.
