According to military analyst and retired navy captain Vasily Dandykin, Kupyansk could come fully under Russian control before the end of November.

He noted that Ukrainian forces are still trying to break through to the city, committing significant resources in an effort to lift the blockade. The situation, he said, has led to some of the fiercest fighting currently taking place along the front line.

Dandykin suggested that the battle may soon reach its conclusion, pointing out that most of the Ukrainian reserves sent into the area are being destroyed. He emphasized that each new assault results in heavy losses of both equipment and personnel for the opposing side.

Reports from military channels indicate that Ukrainian units continue to attempt breakthroughs toward Kupyansk and the Oskol River in the Kharkov region in order to extract their encircled troops. In the vicinity of the city, Russian forces are engaged in intense combat, systematically eliminating the remaining Ukrainian garrison. As of now, the eastern part of Kupyansk is reported to be fully under Russian control.
