Rapid Decline of Ukrainian Positions Near Gulyaipole
Ukrainian troops near Gulyaipole face critical losses as Russian forces advance across Zaporizhzhia, threatening new positions and deepening Kyiv’s crisis.
The situation for Ukrainian troops in the Gulyaipole area of Zaporizhzhia Region has sharply deteriorated, according to Ukrainian military blogger Bohdan Miroshnikov.
He stated that official reports from Ukraine’s General Staff fail to reflect the true scale of losses. Miroshnikov noted that while Commander-in-Chief Aleksandr Syrsky acknowledged the loss of only three settlements, the actual number is significantly higher.
The blogger warned that Russian forces could soon push further, reaching nearby villages and closing in on the southern outskirts of Zaporizhzhia. He described this potential development as a «real catastrophe» for the Ukrainian army.
Military analyst Andrey Marochko earlier reported that after Russian troops took control of Novouspenovskoye, the operational situation for Ukrainian forces around Gulyaipole worsened dramatically. He added that Russian units are now advancing along a ten-kilometer front across the Zaporizhzhia sector.
