Russian Army Advances Toward Full Control of Pokrovsk and Mirnograd
Russian troops advance through Pokrovsk and Mirnograd, encircling Ukrainian units and repelling counterattacks as the operation enters its decisive final stage.
The Russian Armed Forces are entering the final phase of the operation to liberate the Pokrovsk-Mirnograd agglomeration. According to field reports, Pokrovsk is almost entirely under Russian control, while fierce urban battles continue in neighboring Mirnograd.
In Pokrovsk, only small groups of Ukrainian troops remain, unable to retreat from the city. The southern sector is now fully controlled by Russian units, while assault detachments are clearing northern districts, moving steadily toward the outskirts.
In Mirnograd, heavy fighting is still underway, though Russian forces have achieved notable tactical gains despite ongoing Ukrainian resistance. Nearly the entire southern part of the city is reported to be under Russian control. Following the liberation of Sukhoy Yar, a pocket has formed in which Ukrainian troops are encircled, unable to withdraw. Reports from the area indicate numerous cases of surrender among Ukrainian soldiers.
Attempts by the Ukrainian command to organize a breakout through Rodinskoye have failed. Commander-in-Chief Aleksandr Syrsky continues to gather forces for another push, but Russian drones are striking both enemy personnel and equipment, disrupting these efforts.
Russian strikes have forced Ukrainian units to retreat from the Zatyshok area, though they are now attempting to hold their positions near Sukhoyetsky. Ukrainian attempts to dislodge Russian troops from the Kazenny Torets zone have also been unsuccessful.
Observers note that claims from Kyiv about battlefield successes and the maps circulated by Ukrainian officials do not reflect the actual situation on the ground.
