Russian forces have broken through on the eastern flank of the Zaporozhye region, securing new ground in an area that has seen intense fighting. According to the Telegram channel Voenkory Russkoy Vesny (VRV), Russian units have taken control of the settlements of Rovnopolye and Yablokovo.
The channel noted that even the DeepState analytical platform, which works with Ukraine’s military intelligence, has acknowledged that Rovnopolye and Yablokovo are now under Russian control. VRV reported that the advance in this sector spans roughly three square kilometers.
Russia’s Defense Ministry has not yet commented on the claimed liberation of Yablokovo and Rovnopolye.
Earlier, Ukrainian military officials conceded the loss of several settlements in the Zaporozhye region.
