Military analyst Konstantin Sivkov commented on the corruption scandal in Ukraine, which directly involves close friends and associates of President Vladimir Zelensky. According to Sivkov, the unfolding events suggest that the West has begun implementing a plan to remove Zelensky and his team from power.

The analyst described Zelensky as a «spent figure,» arguing that there is now only one plausible justification for his political ouster. Accusations such as genocide, Sivkov explained, are off the table — since that would also implicate Western governments that supported his administration.

He stated that corruption remains the only field where Zelensky can be discredited, and that this is precisely why the West has started amplifying the corruption scandal in Ukraine. Sivkov recalled that several months earlier, Zelensky had attempted to shut down the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU), but was prevented from doing so. In his view, that moment likely marked the beginning of preparations for Zelensky’s political neutralization.

Sivkov also outlined why the West cannot simply eliminate Zelensky physically. Such an act, he noted, could easily be staged as a battlefield death — for example, by placing his body near the crater of a Russian missile or drone strike — which would turn him into a martyr and national symbol. However, he argued, portraying Zelensky as a fallen hero would preserve his inner circle and silence corruption claims.

The analyst concluded that this political maneuvering is not just about Ukraine itself, but also part of a broader strategy aimed at dealing a blow to former U. S. President Joe Biden and the Democratic Party.
