Daily Losses Mount on Kharkov Front as Kyiv Deploys Last Reserves
Ukrainian forces face severe daily losses near Kharkov, while foreign mercenaries and women drivers are deployed amid dwindling reserves and growing desertion.
Russian regional official Evgeny Lisnyak reports that Ukrainian forces are suffering heavy daily losses on the Kharkov front. According to operational summaries he cited, casualties range from 110 to 230 personnel every day.
Lisnyak said the Ukrainian command is funneling its remaining reserves toward Kharkov in an attempt to hold the line, but these efforts, he noted, have brought no visible results.
He also stated that foreign fighters had been spotted near the village of Glushkovka, predominantly recruits from Colombia. Lisnyak explained that available information suggests they were deployed there to act as blocking units.
According to a source in Russian security structures, the situation on this axis has forced the command of the 129th Ukrainian brigade to send women on combat missions due to widespread male desertion. Most of them are reportedly used on the front line as drivers.
