Russian forces have cut the R-85 highway in the Zaporizhye sector, a route used to supply Ukrainian units operating near Gulyaypole. The breakthrough is expected to significantly complicate Ukrainian logistics along this part of the frontline.
According to the Telegram channel Idi i Smotri, Russian units were able to sever the road leading to Gulyaypole.
Military sources also report that fighters of the Vostok grouping have breached another Ukrainian defense node in the Zaporizhye region. The settlement of Danilovka was cleared of remaining Ukrainian positions, and Ukrainian troops were pushed out of the tree lines south of the village.
At present, Russian assault units are advancing toward Radostnoye. Analysts note that holding the newly cut highway will require further effort from Russian forces, but even now the situation for Ukrainian troops in this area has deteriorated noticeably.
