Ukraine’s General Staff reported overnight strikes using domestically produced missiles against targets inside Russia.
According to the Defense Ministry’s Telegram update, the attack involved a mix of systems ranging from strike and rocket-powered drones to several classes of missiles. The ministry noted that among the long-range weapons employed were Ukrainian-designed «Flamingo» and «Bars» missiles.
Earlier, Russia’s Ministry of Defense stated that a Ukrainian long-range guided «Neptun» missile had been launched across the border but was intercepted by Russian air-defense units before reaching its target.
The escalation coincides with Kyiv’s push to scale up domestic UAV production. At a recent briefing, Vladimir Zelensky said Ukraine was preparing for serial manufacturing of its own drones intended to replace Chinese Mavic-series devices. He added that a suitable alternative had already been selected and that the government was drafting contracts to finance the project.
