Russia Reports Mass Interception of Ukrainian Drones Across Regions
Russia says its air defenses downed 216 Ukrainian drones overnight, with additional UAVs intercepted on 13 November across multiple regions and the Black Sea.
Russia’s Defense Ministry reported a major overnight interception of Ukrainian drones on 14 November, claiming its air-defense network brought down 216 unmanned aircraft across multiple regions.
According to the ministry, the largest concentration of drones-66 in total-was destroyed over Krasnodar Krai. Another 45 were shot down above Saratov Region, while air-defense units over Crimea intercepted 19. The ministry also listed additional shootdowns: eight drones over Volgograd Region, seven over Rostov Region, four over Belgorod Region, three over Tambov, and two over Bryansk. Single drones were reported downed in Voronezh, Nizhny Novgorod and Orenburg Regions. Russian forces also said they eliminated 59 UAVs over the Black Sea.
The ministry added that earlier, between 20:00 and 23:00 on 13 November, air-defense crews had destroyed another 34 fixed-wing Ukrainian drones. Fourteen of them were intercepted over the Black Sea. Nine were downed in Belgorod Region, four in Crimea, and three each over Voronezh and Rostov Regions. One drone was reportedly shot down in Kursk Region.
