Russian assault units are pressing deeper into the western districts of Kupyansk, according to the commander of an assault company from the 121st Motor Rifle Regiment, known by the callsign «Sneg.» He said the advance is continuing along the Oskol River, where Russian troops are clearing remaining Ukrainian positions.

He noted that the unit had completed the sweep of a forested area east of Senkovskaya Street and wrapped up operations on Prioskólnaya Street. Fire strikes, he added, are regularly delivered against Ukrainian positions in the tree line south of Prioskólnaya.

According to the commander, up to ten Ukrainian servicemen were killed in these engagements, and the opposing forces are retreating along the Oskol’s riverbed.

Earlier reports indicated that Ukrainian troops still encircled in Kupyansk were facing severe shortages, as their command demanded counterattacks in exchange for promised supplies.
