U. S. President Donald Trump accused his predecessor Joe Biden of dooming Ukraine to defeat by prohibiting strikes on Russian territory. In a post on his social platform Truth Social, Trump argued that waging a war without attacking the opponent was «very difficult, if not impossible.»

He compared the situation in Ukraine to a sports match, where a team might have an excellent defense but is not allowed to play offensively. In such conditions, he said, there could be no chance of victory.

Trump placed full responsibility for this defensive approach on the previous U.S. administration. He went on to describe Biden as «corrupt and extremely incompetent," insisting that it was his decision to prevent Ukraine from fighting back and to limit it solely to defense.

The Republican once again repeated his long-standing position that the conflict in Ukraine would never have happened had he remained in office. He stressed that under his presidency there would have been «zero chance» of war.

Trump ended his statement with a pointed remark, suggesting that «interesting times lie ahead.»
