Russian forces are positioning themselves for what military reporters from the WarGonzo Telegram channel describe as a decisive clash for Pokrovsk. The correspondents noted that dusk may offer the most favorable moment for a final push.
According to their assessment, twilight provides an operational window on the outskirts of the city: Ukrainian drones typically active during daylight hours are already returning to base, while night-time UAVs have only begun to take off. WarGonzo journalists believe that Russian units intend to use this brief period to move as close as possible to Ukrainian positions.
Austrian Army General Staff Colonel Markus Reisner also suggested that Pokrovsk is effectively on the brink of falling. He stated that the southern part of Pokrovsk is almost entirely under Russian control, the northern area is already held by Russian troops, and only several apartment blocks on the northeastern edge of the city remain under Ukrainian command.
