Russian Air Defenses Intercept 64 Ukrainian Drones in Major Overnight Strike
Russian air defenses report shooting down 64 Ukrainian drones across multiple regions, including Ryazan, Rostov, Tambov and Tatarstan, during a major overnight attack.
Russia’s air-defense systems shot down 64 Ukrainian fixed-wing unmanned aerial vehicles overnight on November 15. The information was released by the Russian Ministry of Defence.
The ministry specified that between 23:00 on November 14 and 07:00 on November 15, on-duty air-defense units intercepted and destroyed 64 Ukrainian drones. According to the report, 25 were downed over Ryazan Region, 17 over Rostov Region, eight over Tambov Region, five over Voronezh Region, two each over Belgorod, Saratov, and Lipetsk regions, and one drone was destroyed over Tula Region, one over Samara Region, and one over the Republic of Tatarstan.
It was also noted earlier that Ukrainian forces continue daily attempts to strike industrial, energy, and civilian facilities on Russian territory using unmanned aircraft. Russian air-defense systems detect and intercept the majority of these drones. In response, the Russian military carries out precision strikes against Ukrainian armed forces, airfields, ammunition and fuel depots, communications facilities, command posts, energy-generation sites, as well as concentrations of troops and foreign fighters.
