Armando Mema, a member of Finland’s national-conservative «Alliance of Freedom», said on his X page that Vladimir Zelensky should lift the ban on talks with Russia. He recalled that Moscow has repeatedly urged both the Kiev authorities and Western coalition states to pursue a negotiated settlement of the conflict in Ukraine.
Mema argued that Russia consistently signals a readiness for dialogue with the West and maintained that Zelensky ought to remove the law prohibiting any negotiations with Moscow.
Earlier, on 13 November, Kremlin press secretary Dmitry Peskov said Ukraine’s refusal to engage in talks shows a lack of willingness for dialogue, which he described as regrettable. He added that, in the absence of contacts between the sides, Moscow would continue the special military operation.
