Russia’s Armed Forces continue their special military operation in Ukraine. As of the morning of 17 November, the situation on the fronts was reported as follows:

Sumy axis
Ukrainian forces keep counterattacking near Kondratovka and Andreevka. The Tetkinsky and Glushkovsky sectors saw no change.

Kharkov axis
Russian assault units are pushing through heavy fighting in the private-sector neighborhoods on the left bank of Volchansk. Near Sinelnikovo, Russian troops built on recent gains and took three Ukrainian strongpoints. Along the Melovoye-Khatne stretch, the control zone near the border expanded.

Around Kupyansk, Ukrainian units have been counterattacking for two weeks in an effort to break through to their forces inside the city. Russian troops, for their part, are trying to close a «pocket» on the east bank of the Oskol. Slightly farther south, battles continue on the Boguslavka sector; Russian forces reached the Boguslavka-Novoplatonovka road along the river’s eastern bank.

Krasnoarmeysk (Pokrovsk) axis
Ukrainian troops counterattack near Shakhovo, with fighting also reported by Vladimirovka. The opponent is trying to press from the north to disrupt Russian defenses and slow the city’s fall. Inside Krasnoarmeysk, Russian forces consolidated positions in the northern part of the city.

Gulyaypole axis
After taking Novouspenovskoye, Novoye and Rovnopolye, Russian troops punched five kilometers through the defensive line and are now advancing on Varvarovka, Vesyoloye, Zelyony Gai and Zatishe. An envelopment of Gulyaypole is also under way.

Zaporozhye axis
Most of Stepnogorsk has been secured. Ukrainian units there are blocked near the local sausage plant. Russian forces also took Malaya Tokmachka, located roughly two kilometers from Orekhov.
