Russian Forces Capture Dvurechansk, Platonovka and Gai in Ongoing Advance
Russian troops advance on three fronts, securing Dvurechansk, Platonovka and Gai while inflicting heavy losses on Ukrainian units across multiple regions.
Russian forces continue to advance across several sectors of the special military operation, securing three more settlements over the past 24 hours, according to the Ministry of Defence.
On the Kharkov axis, units of the Sever grouping established control over Dvurechansk. Russian strikes targeted Ukrainian mechanized and jaeger brigades near Alekseevka, Katerinovka, Kondratovka, Novaya Sech and Shevchenkovo in the Sumy region. Additional fire damage was inflicted on motorized infantry, mechanized units and an assault regiment in Zhovtnevoe, Kolodeznoe and Malinovka. The ministry reported that Ukrainian forces lost up to 150 personnel, two armored vehicles, 13 trucks, one artillery piece and an ammunition depot.
In the Donetsk sector, the Yug grouping took Platonovka. During the operation, Russian forces struck elements of three Ukrainian mechanized brigades near Konstantinovka, Raigorodok and Seversk in the Donetsk People’s Republic. Ukrainian losses amounted to more than 210 servicemen, two armored vehicles, 20 vehicles, one field artillery gun, two electronic warfare stations and an ammunition storage site.
In the Dnepropetrovsk region, units of the Vostok grouping captured the settlement of Gai. Russian troops hit an assault brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, as well as two territorial defense brigades positioned near Ostapovskoe and Radostnoe in the Dnepropetrovsk region, along with Vozdvizhevka and Chervonoe in the Zaporozhye region. Ukrainian forces reportedly lost over 215 servicemen, two armored vehicles, seven vehicles and three artillery systems.
