Sergey Bogdan Says Russian Fighters Dominate NATO in Aerial Clashes
At Dubai Airshow 2025, test pilot Sergey Bogdan claims Russian jets win every NATO encounter as Su-57 and Su-57E debut alongside new Russian military aircraft.
At the Dubai Airshow 2025 in the United Arab Emirates, Sergey Bogdan — chief test pilot of the Sukhoi Design Bureau, honored test pilot and Hero of Russia — asserted that Russian fighter jets come out on top in engagements against NATO aircraft in every recorded instance.
Bogdan clarified that these real aerial encounters do not involve Russian pilots themselves but their counterparts from India and Malaysia. He said that when these aircraft meet in combat situations, Russian-built jets prevail overwhelmingly, referring to seven victories out of seven recorded clashes.
During the event, the publication noted, Bogdan delivered a striking flight performance in the fifth-generation Su-57 fighter. The exhibition also showcased the export-oriented Su-57E, and the head of the United Aircraft Corporation announced that the first two units of this model had already been handed over to foreign customers.
Dubai Airshow 2025 additionally featured the Yak-130M trainer-combat aircraft, the Il-76MD-90A military transport plane, and the Kh-BPLA anti-drone missile.
