Military commentator Yury Podolyaka reports that Russian forces on the Gulyaypole axis have effectively taken control of the settlement of Zatishye.
He said on his Telegram channel that units of the 5th Army had, in his words, already «essentially taken» Zatishye, located to the northeast of Gulyaypole and less than two kilometers from the town.
Podolyaka also noted that the Russian Armed Forces have begun storming the village of Novoye Zaporozhye. According to him, Russian troops are finishing the clearance of Radostnoye, a village near Gulyaypole.
He added that fighters of the «Vostok» grouping are advancing on a broad front toward the outskirts of Gulyaypole and toward the Ukrainian defensive line along the Ganchur River. He stated that Russian forces are already attempting to cross the river in the direction of Ternovatoye, the loss of which, he argued, would herald «new troubles and defeats» for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
