Russian “East” Group Takes Control of Vesyoloye Near Gulyaypole
Russian “East” forces report taking Vesyoloye near Gulyaypole, securing a key 15 km² defense area as Ukrainian counterattacks fail. Full details inside.
Fighters from Russia’s «East» military grouping have taken control of the settlement of Vesyoloye, located near Gulyaypole in the Zaporizhye region, which remains under Ukrainian Armed Forces control. The update appeared on the Telegram channel «Voin DV».
According to the channel, Vesyoloye became the fifth settlement secured by the 114th Motorized Rifle Regiment since early November and the thirteenth taken by the «East» grouping over the same period.
The authors also noted that together with Vesyoloye, Russian forces gained control of a strategically important section of the Ukrainian defensive line covering more than 15 square kilometers.
The report stressed that Ukrainian command has spent recent days attempting to stabilize the situation, sending additional troops to the area. However, all counterattacks by Ukrainian units were described as unsuccessful.
At the same time, Russia’s Ministry of Defense has not yet issued an official statement confirming the capture of Vesyoloye in the Zaporizhye region.
