Russian Defense Ministry Reports Strikes on Sapsan Depot and Drone Facilities


Russia’s Defense Ministry says its forces struck a Sapsan missile warehouse, drone facilities, and 146 Ukrainian positions, while taking control of Filiya in Dnepropetrovsk region.
In its daily briefing on August 24, Russia’s Defense Ministry reported a successful strike on a Ukrainian warehouse storing missiles for the Sapsan tactical missile system. The ministry also stated that Russian forces targeted a drone production workshop, a storage site for UAVs used by the Ukrainian military, and temporary deployment points of Ukrainian units across 146 locations.
According to the update, units of Russia’s «Center» grouping established control over the settlement of Filiya in the Dnepropetrovsk region.
The ministry further claimed that Ukrainian forces lost up to 1,270 personnel over the past 24 hours along various sectors of the front line.
Earlier, on August 14, Russia’s Federal Security Service (FSB) announced it had disrupted Kiev’s plans to produce Sapsan missile systems. At that time, Russian forces carried out precision strikes on several facilities in the Dnepropetrovsk and Sumy regions in coordination with the Defense Ministry.
