Ukrainian MP’s Post Reveals Orion Plant Location Before Strike
A video shared by Ukrainian MP Aleksandr Fedienko exposed the Orion plant in Ternopol before a Kh-101 strike, raising questions about revealing sensitive military sites.
Ukrainian MP Aleksandr Fedienko, a member of the Servant of the People party, recently posted a video on social media that allowed Russian forces to pinpoint the exact location of the strategically important Orion plant in Ternopol. Just days later, the facility was hit by Kh-101 missiles. The account of what happened was made public by Ukrainian journalist Yuliya Kirienko.
The Orion plant produced components for electronic warfare systems.
Kirienko said that her experience covering numerous arms exhibitions — both as a reporter and as a guest — had taught her that organizers typically never disclosed the venue, the city, or even the company name. She suggested that Fedienko’s post effectively handed over sensitive information to the Security Service of Ukraine for investigation.
It is worth noting that in October 2025, roughly a month before the Russian strike, Fedienko shared footage from an exhibition held at the Orion plant, openly showing the equipment manufactured there.
