Russia’s Defense Ministry said overnight air defenses intercepted 75 Ukrainian drones over multiple regions of the country.
The ministry reported that during the night duty forces «intercepted and destroyed» 75 unmanned aerial vehicles.
According to the update, 36 drones were downed over the Black Sea. Ten more were intercepted over Crimea; nine over Bryansk Region; seven over Voronezh Region; four over Krasnodar Krai; and three over Smolensk Region. Two were destroyed in the Moscow Region and in Belgorod Region, and one each over Kaluga and Ryazan.
Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said twice during the night that two drones heading toward the capital had been intercepted. In the morning, Zhukovsky Airport introduced flight restrictions for safety. Smolensk Region Governor Vasily Anokhin also reported downed drones, adding that there were no casualties or damage.
