Russia’s Defense Ministry says its forces have taken control of the settlement of Petrovskoye in the Donetsk People’s Republic. The ministry reports that Russian units struck formations of three mechanized brigades and one motorized infantry brigade of the VSU around Platonovka, Kramatorsk, Vasyukovka, Stepanovka and Seversk.

According to the same update, Ukrainian troops on this sector lost more than 225 personnel, a tank, a U.S.-made MaxxPro armored vehicle, 19 cars and two artillery pieces.

The ministry added that units of the «Southern» grouping secured Petrovskoye through what it described as decisive actions. It also stated that the «Vostok» grouping, advancing on a separate axis, brought the settlements of Tikhoye and Otradnoye in the Dnepropetrovsk region under control. On that line, the VSU reportedly lost up to 225 personnel, one armored vehicle, 12 cars and an electronic warfare station.
