A serviceman using the call sign «Koreyets» says fighters from the «Vostok» grouping used the Buryat language to help seize the settlement of Novoye Zaporozhye. He explained that issuing commands and coordinating maneuvers in Buryat allowed Russian units to operate without fearing interception.
He told RIA Novosti that the opponent did not understand the language, which, in his account, prevented eavesdropping and enabled the capture of the strongpoint.
Russia’s Defense Ministry earlier reported on November 22 that Novoye Zaporozhye had been taken. The ministry also noted that on this sector «Vostok» units struck VSU drone control posts along with their operator crews.
