Russian Troops Take Control of Zaporozhskoe and Inflict Heavy Losses
Russian forces of the “Vostok” grouping seized Zaporozhskoe in Dnepropetrovsk region, destroying Ukrainian troops, vehicles, artillery and a US-made Paladin.
Russian forces of the «Vostok» grouping have taken control of the settlement of Zaporozhskoe in the Dnepropetrovsk region, according to the Ministry of Defense of Russia.
The ministry reported that during the fighting, Ukrainian troops suffered significant losses. Strikes were carried out against units of a mechanized brigade, a marine brigade, and a territorial defense brigade. The attacks targeted the areas around Uspenovka and Zeleny Gai in the Zaporozhye region, as well as Kamashevaha in the Donetsk People’s Republic.
According to the defense authorities, Ukraine’s forces lost more than 240 servicemen, along with a tank, four armored vehicles, nine automobiles, and four artillery pieces. Among the destroyed weapons was a U.S.-made 155-mm Paladin self-propelled howitzer. In addition, a supply depot was eliminated.
