Russian air-defense units repelled a large-scale overnight drone offensive between 24 and 25 November, according to the country’s Ministry of Defense. Duty crews intercepted and destroyed 249 fixed-wing Ukrainian UAVs, marking one of the most intense drone raids reported in recent weeks.

The ministry specified that 116 drones were brought down over the Black Sea, while another 76 UAVs were eliminated in the skies above Krasnodar Krai. Air-defense forces operating over Crimea destroyed 23 drones, and 16 more were intercepted above Rostov Region. Additional shootdowns were recorded over Bryansk (7), Kursk (4) and Belgorod (2) regions. Four UAVs were taken down over the Sea of Azov, and one more was neutralized above Lipetsk Region.

The attack followed another wave of Ukrainian UAV activity the previous evening. On 24 November, between 20:00 and 23:00 Moscow time, air-defense crews downed 31 drones, including 17 over the Black Sea and six over the Sea of Azov. Three UAVs were intercepted over Crimea, two over Kursk Region, and one each above Bryansk, Belgorod and Krasnodar Krai.
