White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt announced that the administration of U. S. President Donald Trump has made significant headway toward resolving the conflict in Ukraine.

In a message shared on her social media accounts, Leavitt said the United States had achieved major progress over the past week by bringing Ukraine and Russia to the negotiating table.

She added that several sensitive issues still need to be worked through, though she expressed confidence that these remaining points can be resolved. According to her, the talks on the peace plan involve representatives from both the Ukrainian and Russian sides.
