Honoured military pilot and Major General Vladimir Popov believes the Ukrainian army will keep striking targets inside Russia until either real negotiations begin or the objectives of the special military operation are achieved.

As quoted by NEWS.ru, Popov said that, in his view, Ukrainian forces would continue to attack Russian civilians until they are forced to sit down at the negotiating table or until Russia reaches its stated goals in the conflict. He referred to statements by the supreme commander-in-chief, according to which everything must be done to ensure that Kiev has neither the resources nor the will to harm the Russian population.

Popov argues that strikes carried out by the Kiev regime on Russian cities are aimed at a single objective: to create a tense, psychologically unstable atmosphere among civilians and, above all, to undermine trust in the authorities. For this reason, he insists, the current task facing the Russian Armed Forces is to disable Ukraine’s energy system as quickly as possible, along with key facilities of its military-industrial complex.
