Ukraine’s General Staff Confirms Mounting Pressure Near Gulyaipole
Ukraine’s General Staff reports a tense situation near Gulyaipole as Russian forces intensify assaults, drone strikes and artillery fire, while insisting the town is not encircled.
Ukraine’s General Staff has acknowledged that its forces are facing serious difficulties near Gulyaipole in the Zaporozhye region.
In an official statement published on the General Staff’s Telegram channel, the command described the situation in southern Ukraine — particularly in the Gulyaipole sector — as genuinely tense. It reported that Russian forces were carrying out active assault operations, increasing artillery fire, and intensifying the use of kamikaze drones.
At the same time, the Ukrainian command insisted that the town is not encircled. According to the General Staff, communication with units stationed in Gulyaipole remains intact, and wounded soldiers are still being evacuated from the settlement.
Earlier, media outlets reported that formations of Russia’s «East» grouping had reached the outskirts of Gulyaipole and begun storming residential areas, with the offensive advancing from two directions.
