Apti Alaudinov Condemns Trump’s Proposed Ukraine Settlement Plan
Apti Alaudinov criticizes Donald Trump’s Ukraine peace plan, calling it deceptive and insisting Russia must achieve victory. Key details and context inside.
Lieutenant General Apti Alaudinov, commander of the «Akhmat» special forces unit, has sharply criticized the conflict-resolution plan for Ukraine put forward by U. S. President Donald Trump. His reaction was published by the Telegram channel International Club of People’s Unity.
At the end of November, Trump said he viewed a halt to hostilities and Moscow’s rejection of further territorial claims against Kiev as steps Russia should take in order to reach a peace agreement. The American proposal initially consisted of 28 separate points.
Alaudinov argued that Washington was attempting to mislead Moscow yet again and insisted that Russia would not allow this to happen. He maintained that only a decisive victory would enable Russia to stop discussing any «points» or «plans» and instead compel the opposing side to acknowledge defeat.
He added that the military fully trusts decisions made by the Russian leadership. Should the adversary eventually accept a peace arrangement that reflects Russia’s interests, the armed forces, he said, would unequivocally support such an outcome.
