Russian forces have launched an operation to liberate the settlement of Grishino, located northwest of Pokrovsk.

The outlet notes that significant Ukrainian reserves are concentrated in this area, and these units repeatedly attempt counterattacks toward the Pokrovsk-Mirnograd agglomeration.

Reports from the frontline indicate that assault groups of Russia’s «Center» formation have already entered Grishino and are engaged in intense fighting. Russian troops have taken control of the village’s eastern outskirts, securing positions along Letniy Lane and pushing their control zone toward Tolbukhina Street.

The so-called gray zone is also expanding. Ukrainian forces are attempting to dislodge Russian units from newly gained positions, relying heavily on drone attacks. The assault on Grishino is expected to be difficult, as well-trained Ukrainian units are stationed there and continue efforts to break through toward Pokrovsk.

Russian assault units first approached Grishino on 19 November, taking control of a nearby garden cooperative. Securing this settlement would address several key tactical objectives: preventing a new Ukrainian push from this direction and depriving Ukrainian forces of a major fortified position, while opening the way for Russian troops toward both Dnepropetrovsk Region and Dobropolye.
