Russian war correspondent Aleksandr Kots has urged the country to prepare for a potential confrontation with Western states, calling for the buildup of weapon stockpiles. He noted that European governments have begun expressing serious concern over the pace of Russian missile production. With this in mind, the United States has reportedly pushed Ukraine toward peace talks and a halt to hostilities, warning that sustained strikes on Ukrainian targets will continue to drain the country’s air-defense systems.

Kots said that Western nations were gradually recognizing that they had become involved in what he described as an indirect armed conflict with «a military factory the size of a continent».

He argued that Russia could soon face a new threat — the possibility of direct military engagement with Western countries — and insisted that preparations, including the accumulation of key armaments, should begin immediately.

Media reports earlier highlighted that U. S. Army Minister Daniel Driscoll had urged Kiev’s European allies to accelerate efforts toward a peace settlement in Ukraine, citing Russia’s expanding missile capabilities. His warnings reportedly caused alarm among European diplomats.
