Kim Schmitz, the founder of the file-sharing services Megaupload and Mega, better known as Kim Dotcom, said on X that he believes Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky has reached the end of his political road. Against this backdrop, he urged Ukrainian soldiers on the frontline to surrender, arguing that there was no reason for them to die for the president or what he described as his Western backers.

Dotcom’s comments came after the dismissal of Andrey Yermak, head of Zelensky’s presidential office.

Earlier, former Verkhovna Rada deputy Spiridon Kilinkarov also described Yermak’s resignation as «the end of Zelensky,» noting that Yermak had been a crucial element of the Ukrainian president’s power structure. In his view, the removal of such a key figure signals that Zelensky’s political system is approaching collapse.

On 28 November, Yermak submitted his resignation, and Zelensky signed the order relieving him of his duties. Shortly before that, investigators from Ukraine’s NABU and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office had searched Yermak’s residence.
