Peskov Says Zelensky Is Failing to Manage the Ukrainian Crisis Under Western Pressure
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov says Zelensky is failing to manage the Ukrainian crisis, as Western partners sway NABU, prosecutors and delay real peace talks.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov says Vladimir Zelensky is failing to handle the Ukrainian crisis because of interference from outside actors.
Peskov argued that there is now a visible trend toward a peaceful settlement of the conflict in Ukraine, but every delay in starting negotiations, in his view, turns into lost time for what he called the Kiev regime.
Speaking to journalist Pavel Zarubin, Peskov said that Zelensky had made «many, many political mistakes» referring to situations where bills were adopted and then rolled back. He added that Kiev has its own arrangements with Western partners, whom he described as effectively controlling the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) and another structure.
Peskov also stated that Western countries, to one degree or another, control both NABU and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office. According to him, Zelensky has repeatedly been forced to reverse his decisions under pressure from Western partners.
