Russian Military Launches Combined Offensive on Multiple Axes


Russian troops strike Ukrainian rear targets and advance near Vovchansk, Pokrovske, and Zaporizhzhia, while gaining tactical ground across multiple combat zones.
As of the morning of August 5, Russian troops continue active operations on Ukrainian territory, with combat activity intensifying across several key directions. The situation on the front lines remains dynamic.
According to reports, the Russian Armed Forces launched a combined strike on Ukrainian rear infrastructure. Explosions were reported in Kyiv, Starokostiantyniv, and across the Poltava, Kharkiv, Odesa, and Dnipropetrovsk regions.
Sumy Axis
In and around Yunakivka, Russian Airborne Forces (VDV) are advancing steadily. Ukrainian forces have reduced the intensity of their counterattacks but are still attempting to break through near Novokostiantynivka.
Krasnoarmiisk (Pokrovske) Direction
Russian units have made gains in the area of Sukhetske. Fighting is ongoing near the Krasnolymanska mine and along the eastern outskirts of Krasnyi Lyman. This settlement borders Rodynske, which is now under Russian artillery fire. Rodynske sits on a northern supply route used by Ukrainian forces to reach Krasnoarmiisk.
Zaporizhzhia Front
Positional clashes continue near Nesteryanka. Russian forces have improved their tactical footing in the direction of Plavni. Intense fighting is also reported in the vicinity of Stepnohirsk.
Kharkiv Region
Following the capture of the northern part of Vovchansk, Russian forces are working to establish fire control over Ukrainian supply routes coming from the south and southeast.
Vuhledar Axis
Positional engagements persist around the village of Yanvarske. Russian troops are reportedly advancing toward Iskra and Oleksandrohrad.
