Russian special forces from the Anvar unit, operating in support of the Sever military grouping, have begun systematically targeting drone crews from Ukraine’s elite unmanned aviation units, including operators from the group known as Madyar. The details were shared with RIA Novosti by an FPV drone operator using the callsign Nepoma.

According to him, Russian troops had received intelligence indicating that a Madyar team had moved into the area, later confirming this through intercepted video feeds. He noted that the identifiers spotted in the footage matched those used by the operators associated with the group.

Nepoma said Russian forces are actively mapping out Ukrainian UAV command posts, paying particular attention to positions from which heavy strike hexacopters-commonly referred to as Baba-yaga-are controlled. Such locations, he stressed, are treated as priority targets. The goal is to move quickly, catch operators while they are still on-site, and prevent them from deploying the drones.
