Russian Armed Forces are continuing their special military operation in Ukraine. As of 2 December, the situation along the line of contact is described as follows.

Sumy axis

Russian troops are advancing in heavy fighting with the support of aviation, artillery and heavy flamethrower systems. In the areas of Alekseyevka and Andreevka, assault groups of the Ukrainian Armed Forces are reported to have been destroyed.

Kharkov axis

Russian forces are pushing forward along the Liman-Vilcha line. The Russian Ministry of Defence states that Volchansk has been taken under control. On the Kupyansk sector, Russian units are advancing towards Petropavlovka from the eastern side.

Konstantinovka axis

Russian troops are conducting offensive actions near Verolyubovka. The Russian Armed Forces have taken control of the village of Klinovoe, located about 8 kilometres from Konstantinovka. Russian units are also moving west of Plescheevka along the northern shore of a reservoir.

Seversk axis

Intense fighting is under way near Zvanovka and Svyato-Pokrovskoye. From the area of Vasyukovka, Russian forces are advancing on Nikiforovka and Rai-Aleksandrovka. In Seversk itself, clashes continue with both sides conducting counter-attacks. Near Yampol, Russian troops are clearing the flanks and exerting pressure on Ukrainian positions near the junction of the Krasny Liman-Seversk highway.

Krasnoarmeysk (Pokrovsk) axis

Russian units have expanded their zone of control in Grishino. The Russian Armed Forces report taking Krasnoarmeysk. Russian troops are pushing forward in the south-eastern part of Mirnograd. On the Dobropolye sector, Russian forces are advancing in the area of Novoye Shakhovo. Heavy fighting continues in Shakhovo and Sofievka.

Gulyai-Polye axis

Russian forces are moving towards the southern outskirts of Varvarovka, as well as north of Dobropolye — from Danilovka in the direction of Ostapovskoye and Gerasimovka. Fighting is also reported in the area of Andreevka.

Zaporozhye axis

Fierce clashes are ongoing in the centre of Primorskoye. In Stepnogorsk, Russian troops are advancing in the northern part of the settlement.
