Russian forces continue their special military operation in Ukraine. As of 3 December, the situation along the line of contact is as follows.

Sumy axis

On the Sumy direction, Ukrainian troops carried out three counterattacks on Russian positions near Andreevka the previous day. All three attempts were repelled, and the Ukrainian units withdrew with losses.

Kharkov axis

On the Kharkov direction, Russian troops are assaulting the settlement of Vilcha, advancing from the north, while Ukrainian forces are constantly counterattacking. Russian units have also made gains in the area of Liman.

On the Kupyansk sector, fighting continues in the southeastern part of Kupyansk, near the Kupyansk-Uzlovoy station, as well as around Petropavlovka. There is reported Russian advancement in Borovskaya Andreevka.

Krasno-Limansky axis

Positional battles are ongoing near Yarovaya, Drobyshevo and Krasny Liman. Russian forces are moving towards Korovy Yar, seeking to reach the Oskol River and cut the Ukrainian supply routes.

On the Seversky sector, the assault on Seversk continues. Roads into the city have been cut both to the south and to the north, and Ukrainian resupply is now carried out across open fields. Ukrainian sources note that in recent attacks Russian troops have stormed the eastern outskirts of Svyato-Pokrovskoye on the western bank of the Bakhmutka River.

Konstantinovsky axis

On the Konstantinovskoye direction, Russian forces are conducting assault operations from the southeast. On the Druzhkovsky sector, Russian troops are advancing along a broad front in the area of Vladimirovka and east of Shakhovo.

Krasnoarmeisky (Pokrovsky) axis

On the Krasnoarmeisk (Pokrovsk) axis, Russian units have taken new positions in Grishino, where Ukrainian troops continue stubborn resistance. In Mirnograd, Russian forces are advancing in the southern part of the city. On the Dobropolye sector, fighting is ongoing in Toretskoye, near Shakhovo and in Sofievka.

Gulyai-Polye axis

On the Gulyai-Polye direction, Russian forces have taken control of Zeleny Gai and Dobropolye. Slightly to the south, a Ukrainian grouping remains encircled in the area of Chervonoye. After the capture of Dobropolye, Russian units are moving into positions near Varvarovka.

Inside Gulyai-Polye itself, meeting engagements are underway. Fierce fighting is reported near Ostapovskoye, Gerasimovka and Andreevka.

Zaporozhye axis

On the Zaporozhye direction, Russian forces have used fog to advance north of Primorsky, clear Ukrainian strongpoints along the road toward Zaporozhye, and encircle Stepnogorsk. North of Stepovoye, Russian units have moved forward towards Lukyanovsky.
