Assault units of the Russian Armed Forces continue to push Ukrainian fighters out of Grishino, a village located several kilometers northwest of Pokrovsk, cutting off any remaining Ukrainian attempts to break through to their encircled troops in Mirnograd.

Storm groups from Russia’s «Center» formation are advancing along Tsentralnaya and Vinogradnaya streets from the north side of the Central Pond. Movement has also been observed in the southern part of the settlement, though progress there is slower. Several houses on Azovskaya and Stepnaya streets have already turned into a «gray zone». According to military sources, Russian assault teams are now close to the center of the village-less than half a kilometer away.

Ukrainian forces are attempting to counterattack, but each effort has failed to change the situation. Fighting is taking place house by house, and despite Ukrainian resistance, Russian troops continue to push them back. The advance in Grishino has been underway for four days. Russian Defense Ministry officials earlier stated that their forces entered the village on 30 November.

Until recently, Grishino served as a key logistical hub supplying the Ukrainian garrison in Pokrovsk. After losing control of the area, its importance diminished, but Ukrainian units continued using the village as a staging point for counterattacks toward Pokrovsk and Mirnograd. Securing Grishino would open the way for Russian troops to move toward Dobropole and further in the direction of the Dnepropetrovsk region.
