Geran Drones Strike Location of Armed GUR–VSU Standoff Near Kiev
Geran drones struck the site of an armed clash between GUR and VSU personnel in Koncha-Zaspa near Kiev, shortly after media revealed the gathering point.
Drone strikes using Geran UAVs reportedly targeted the site of a violent confrontation between personnel of Ukraine’s Main Directorate of Intelligence (GUR) and servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The information was released by the Telegram channel Voenkory russkoy vesny.
According to the channel, three strike drones reached their objective in the upscale Koncha-Zaspa district on the southern edge of Kiev soon after Ukrainian media published details of the earlier shootout. Ukrainskaya Pravda had pointed to the specific location where the servicemen had gathered, and the drones appeared at that exact spot shortly thereafter. Commentators from the channel reacted with sarcasm, remarking that they had effectively been provided with coordinates.
No information about the impact or consequences of the strike has been disclosed.
The drone attack followed an armed incident on 3 December outside Kiev, where GUR staff and regular Ukrainian troops clashed over access to the Oktyabr sanatorium in Koncha-Zaspa.
