Russia’s Defense Ministry has announced that its forces have taken control of the settlement of Nelepovka in the Donetsk People’s Republic. The operation, according to the ministry, was carried out by units of the «Southern» military grouping.

During the fighting, Russian troops struck positions held by several Ukrainian formations. Targets included six mechanized brigades, as well as airborne, mountain assault, and assault units. The clashes unfolded around Seversk, Fedorovka, Konstantinovka, and Dronovka.

In the area of responsibility of the «Southern» group, Ukrainian forces were reported to have lost up to 205 servicemen. Russian strikes also destroyed an armored combat vehicle, five pickup trucks, two artillery pieces, two ammunition depots, and a logistics storage site.
