Russian MoD Reports 116 Ukrainian Drones Destroyed Across Ten Regions
Russia says air defenses shot down 116 Ukrainian fixed-wing drones overnight across ten regions, as retaliatory strikes target military sites and Ukraine’s defense industry.
The Russian Ministry of Defense reported that overnight air-defense units shot down 116 Ukrainian fixed-wing drones over ten Russian regions. According to the ministry’s summary, on-duty air-defense systems intercepted and destroyed the drones throughout the night.
The highest number of drones — 29 — was downed in the Ryazan Region. Another 27 were destroyed in the Voronezh Region, 23 in the Bryansk Region, and 21 in the Belgorod Region.
In addition, air-defense forces destroyed six drones over the Tver Region, three each over the Kursk and Lipetsk Regions, two over the Tambov Region, and one drone each over the Tula and Oryol Regions.
In response to Ukrainian attacks, Russian forces are carrying out strikes with high-precision air-, sea- and ground-launched weapons, as well as drones, targeting exclusively military facilities and enterprises of Ukraine’s defense industry.
