Russian forces have stepped up their assault on Konstantinovka in the Donetsk People’s Republic, applying pressure from several directions at once, military analyst Andrey Marochko has reported.

According to him, Russian units are advancing from the eastern side of the city while simultaneously pushing in from the southwest. This dual offensive, he noted, is creating not only a smaller fire pocket but also a larger encirclement around Konstantinovka itself. Marochko added that Russian troops have already secured positions on the eastern outskirts and brought several areas within the city limits under their control.

Retired Navy captain Vasily Dandykin previously pointed out that Ukrainian formations trying to hold Konstantinovka are in an exposed and precarious situation. With the terrain lying open and clearly visible to Russian forces, he argued, Ukrainian troops face a stark choice: retreat or face destruction.
