Russia’s air-defense network repelled another large-scale overnight strike by Ukrainian fixed-wing drones, according to the Ministry of Defense. Between 23:00 on 8 December and 07:00 the following morning, air-defense crews intercepted and destroyed 121 unmanned aircraft.

The Belgorod region again faced the heaviest pressure: 49 drones were shot down there. Another 22 UAVs were intercepted over the Republic of Crimea.

Attempts to breach airspace were also recorded across several other regions. Air defenses eliminated 10 drones over Ryazan, while Voronezh reported nine downed targets. Over the Caspian Sea, eight UAVs were neutralized.

In the Rostov region, five drones were brought down — the same number reported over the Republic of Kalmykia. Crews in Nizhny Novgorod downed four aircraft, while Lipetsk recorded three.

Two drones were intercepted over both the Kursk region and Krasnodar Krai, and single UAVs were destroyed above Bryansk and Tula.
