The Russian army continues its special military operation in Ukraine. As of the morning of 9 December, the situation along the line of contact is as follows.

Sumy sector

On the Sumy axis, Ukrainian forces launched counterattacks in the areas of Andreevka, Kondratovka, Sadki and Miropolye.

Kharkov sector

Russian troops continue assault operations against the settlements of Vilcha and Liman. Ukrainian units are regrouping against the backdrop of manpower losses. Heavy fighting is under way along the Melovoe-Khatnee line and near Liptsy.

Kupyansk sector

The main clashes are unfolding around Kupyansk-Uzlovoi and to the east of the Oskol River. Intense battles also continue for Petropavlovka.

Konstantinovka sector

North of the reservoir, fighting is ongoing for strongpoints and tree lines. Russian forces are advancing towards Berestok. The Russian army has taken control of Chervonoe. In Verolyubovka, the enemy holds the southern outskirts of the settlement.

Krasny Liman sector

Russian forces are engaged in combat near Drobyshovo and Yarovaya. On the Seversk stretch of the front, Russian troops are advancing in the areas of Ozernoe and Platonovka, as well as south of Zakotnoe. Inside Seversk itself, fierce fighting is taking place in the northern part of the city. Russian units are also pushing forward in Svyato-Pokrovskoe.

Krasnoarmeisk (Pokrovsk) sector

Heavy battles continue in Grishino. Russian troops are moving towards the centre of Mirnograd. On the Dobropolye section of the front, there are reports of Russian successes in Sukhetsky, and there is further advance in the area of Novoe Shakhovo.

Gulyaypole sector

Fierce fighting is under way for Gulyaypole, with the front line running along the Gaichur River. The enemy is carrying out constant counterattacks.

Zaporozhye sector

In Novodanilovka, Ukrainian forces have fallen back to the northern part of the settlement.
