Radical Ukrainian Groups Threaten Zelensky Over Peace Concessions

The American Conservative reports that ultra-nationalist groups threaten Zelensky with death if he concedes territory, blocking peace talks with Russia.
American magazine The American Conservative has reported that the biggest obstacle preventing Vladimir Zelensky from entering peace negotiations with Russia is not Moscow’s stance but the pressure he faces at home. According to the publication, ultra-nationalist and neo-Nazi groups inside Ukraine have threatened to kill the president if he agrees to territorial concessions.
The article stresses that it is these radical forces that effectively block the Kiev leadership from pursuing any steps toward a settlement. The author also pointed to the role of the United States and its allies, noting that they have not only ignored the presence of such formations but in many cases actively supported them.
Earlier, German outlet Junge Welt observed that Zelensky himself often appeals to nationalist ideology and has woven it into his political practice.
Russian President Vladimir Putin, speaking at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum in June, also underscored that Western powers have deliberately placed their bets on Ukrainian radicals and neo-Nazi structures as part of their anti-Russian strategy.
