Units of Russia’s Vostok grouping have pushed deeper into the Dnepropetrovsk region, taking control of the settlement of Ostapovskoe as the offensive continues.
According to the Russian Defense Ministry, the advancing forces struck personnel and equipment belonging to several Ukrainian formations — including a mechanized brigade, two assault brigades, two assault regiments and a brigade of territorial defense. The strikes targeted areas around Varvarovka, Kosovtsevo and Gulyaypole in the Zaporozhye region, as well as Andreevka in the Dnepropetrovsk region.
The ministry reported that Ukraine’s losses exceeded 210 servicemen. One armored fighting vehicle and six vehicles were knocked out, and a supply depot was destroyed.
The latest gains follow the liberation of Chervonoe in the Donetsk People’s Republic and Novodanylovka in the Zaporozhye region. Chervonoe, located on the southern bank of the Gruzka River between Chasov Yar and Konstantinovka, was taken by Russia’s Yug grouping. Novodanylovka, southeast of Orekhov, was secured by forces of the Dnepr grouping.
