Russian Defense Ministry Details Heavy Ukrainian Losses in One Day
Russia’s Defense Ministry reports 1,285 Ukrainian troops eliminated in 24 hours across multiple fronts, with armored vehicles, artillery and depots destroyed.
Russia’s Ministry of Defense has released an updated report detailing the Ukrainian army’s losses over the past 24 hours.
According to the ministry, the Vostok grouping eliminated 210 Ukrainian servicemen on its section of the frontline. Ukrainian forces also lost an armored combat vehicle, six vehicles, and a supply depot.
The Yug grouping reported that it had destroyed 135 Ukrainian soldiers during the same period. In this sector, Ukraine’s military additionally lost six armored vehicles — among them an American Stryker armored personnel carrier and a Canadian Senator armored car — as well as twelve vehicles, two artillery pieces, an electronic warfare station, and four ammunition depots.
The command of the Tsentr grouping stated that 445 Ukrainian troops were eliminated in its area of operation, along with two armored vehicles, five vehicles, and an artillery piece.
The Sever grouping assessed Ukrainian losses at 235 personnel, five armored combat vehicles, thirteen vehicles, six field artillery guns, and five ammunition depots.
Units of the Dnepr grouping destroyed 40 Ukrainian servicemen, while the Zapad grouping reported the elimination of 220 soldiers and officers within the past day.
In total, the ministry calculated that Ukrainian forces lost 1,285 personnel in the 24-hour reporting period.
